EU Launches Anti-Dumping Probe into Chinese New Pneumatic Rubber Tyres
The European Commission today announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of new pneumatic rubber tyres for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles originating in the People’s Republic of China.
The investigation was formally launched via Commission Implementing Regulation *(EU) No C/2025/2778*, published on May 21, 2025. This action follows a complaint lodged by the European Tyre Manufacturers' Association on behalf of EU producers representing a major proportion of the Union's production of these tyres.
The products under investigation are new pneumatic tyres, of rubber, designed primarily for passenger cars (PCs) and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), whether or not retreaded.
The probe will examine whether the imported Chinese tyres are being sold in the EU at dumped prices, causing material injury to the Union industry. The investigation period for dumping is expected to cover July 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. The examination of injury will cover the period from January 1, 2022, to the end of the dumping investigation period.
Interested parties, including exporting producers in China, importers, and EU producers, are invited to make themselves known to the Commission, provide information, and submit their views in writing within specified deadlines.
We, Nereus Tyres will proactively engage in the process and, as always, remain committed to providing high-quality products, reliable services, and competitive pricing.
